Privacy policy

This policy explains what Generals Style collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), language and time zone. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and Google account ID.
- Designs and pictures: the styles you save and the pictures you upload, so we can show previews and build your installers.
- Payments: what you bought, the amount and the payment status. Card and PayPal details are handled by Stripe and PayPal, never by us.
- Installers: when you run an installer it sends us an anonymous device ID (a one-way hash, not your PC's name), its version, your Windows version and an install report: which game copies (e.g. "Steam") were found and whether each part installed. It never sends your files or file lists.
- Security logs: IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to stop abuse and attacks. Traffic logs are kept for 30 days and security events for 180 days.
- Affiliates: if you join the affiliate program, your PayPal email for payouts and the sales linked to your links.
Cookies and storage
- A session cookie keeps you signed in and protects forms; a language cookie remembers your language.
- If you arrive through an affiliate link, a cookie remembers the referrer for 30 days.
- Your browser stores small settings such as light or dark mode. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To run your account, take payments, build and deliver your installers, give support, pay affiliates, keep the service secure, and meet legal and tax duties. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Stripe and PayPal to process payments and payouts.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Cloudflare and our hosting provider, which carry and store the site.
- Our email provider, to send account and installer emails.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and change your details in your account, and delete your pictures and designs at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your data or for your account to be deleted by writing to support@generals-style.com. We keep payment records as long as tax law requires.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, passwords are hashed, payment keys and other secrets are encrypted, and admin access needs extra checks. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
