Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Generals Style (the "service"): the website at generals-style.com, the design studio and the Windows installer. By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them.

1. What the service does

Generals Style lets you design a control bar, loading screen, hotkeys and Tab shortcuts for Command & Conquer: Generals – Zero Hour, and gives you a one-time installer that applies your design to the copies of the game on your own PC. The installer changes only the files it needs, keeps a backup, and can put your original files back at any time.

Generals Style is a fan-made service. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Electronic Arts. Command & Conquer and Generals are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc. You need your own legally bought copy of the game. We never send you game files.

2. Your account

  • You must give a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One person per account. Don't share, sell or transfer it.
  • We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service or tries to get around payments or limits.

3. Plans, payments and installers

  • Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal; we never see or store your card details.
  • Each plan includes a number of installers. Making an installer uses one. An installer code works once and expires after 7 days if it isn't used.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds follow our refund policy.

4. Your pictures and designs

  • You keep the rights to pictures you upload. You give us permission to store them and use them only to show your previews and build your installers.
  • Only upload pictures you have the right to use. No illegal, hateful, sexual or violent content. We may remove pictures that break this rule.

5. Acceptable use

  • Don't attack, overload, scrape or try to break into the service, and don't try to reverse engineer, copy or resell the installer or its codes.
  • Don't use the service to cheat in online play. The changes we make are visual and keyboard shortcuts only.

6. The game and other mods

We test with common setups (Steam and EA app copies, GenPatcher, Control Bar Pro, GenTool), but we can't guarantee every combination of game version and mods. Game updates or other tools may replace our files; the installer's "Re-apply my style" puts your design back, and "Restore my original files" undoes it.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or problems caused by other software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or on the site before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
