Plans and billing - free trial, Monthly and Yearly

Generals Style has three ways to start: a free trial with one installer and no maps pack, a Monthly plan and a Yearly plan. Both paid plans include everything in the Studio plus the maps pack, renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time. Current prices are always on the pricing page; this guide explains how the plans work.
What does the free trial include?
The free trial lets you try the full flow, from design to installed game, before you pay:
- One installer. Design your style in the Studio, make one installer and run it on your PC.
- No card needed. You start it with one click once you are signed in and your email is confirmed.
- One trial per account.
- No maps pack. During the trial the Maps tab is browse-only: you can look at every map but not tick any. See the maps guide.
The trial length is shown on the pricing page next to the trial.

The Yearly plan is marked Best value on the pricing page, which also shows what it works out to per month and how much you save. The number of installers each plan includes is shown on the pricing page and on your Billing page as Installers left.
How to subscribe
- Open the pricing page and press Subscribe on the plan you want.
- If you are not signed in, continue with Google or type your name and email. No password is needed yet; you set one right after paying.
- Choose a payment method and press Pay.
- You are sent to the payment provider's secure page, then back to Generals Style. The page confirms your payment, usually within a few seconds, and your plan becomes active.
You get a receipt by email after every payment.
Paying by card or PayPal
- Card (Stripe) - Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, on Stripe's secure page.
- PayPal - your PayPal balance or a card inside PayPal.
You always pay on Stripe's or PayPal's own page. Generals Style never sees your card number.
Using a promo code
On the checkout page, press Add promo code in the order summary, type your code and press Apply. The new price shows straight away.
- On Monthly and Yearly plans, the discount applies to the first payment only. Renewals are at the normal price.
- With PayPal, codes work on one-time plans only. To use a code on a Monthly or Yearly plan, pay by card.
- If a code covers the whole price, no payment is needed at all.
- A code can be expired, used up, limited to one plan or already used on your account. The checkout tells you which.
Sometimes a code is shown in a bar at the top of the site during a promotion.
The Billing page
Your Billing page (My account → Billing) shows:
- your current plan, its status, and the date it renews on or gives access until;
- Installers left for the current period;
- whether auto-renew is on;
- your past plans and every payment, with date, amount and method.
How to cancel
- Paid by card: press Manage billing on the Billing page. Stripe's secure page opens, where you can cancel, update your card or download invoices.
- Paid with PayPal: press Cancel PayPal renewal on the Billing page.
Either way you keep access until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. When a plan ends, your designs stay saved; pick a plan again to make new installers.
If a renewal payment fails, you get an email asking you to update your payment method. You also get a reminder email shortly before a plan ends.
Refunds
The full policy is on the refund policy page. In short:
- You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a payment if no installer from that purchase has been used.
- Renewal payments can be refunded within 14 days if no installer was made after that renewal.
- An installer that has run successfully can't be refunded. If it ran but did not work, contact us first: we will help, and if we can't fix it we will give you a new installer or a refund.
Refunds go back to the card or PayPal account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free version of Generals Style?
There is a free trial with one installer and no card needed. Anyone can also open the Studio and see live previews without an account; saving and making an installer need you to sign in.
Do I need the Monthly or Yearly plan for maps?
Yes. The maps pack is part of the Monthly and Yearly plans only. The trial lets you browse the maps but not add them.
What happens to my designs if I cancel?
Nothing. Your designs stay saved in your account. You keep access until the end of the paid period, and you can subscribe again later to make new installers.
Can I use a promo code with PayPal?
Only on one-time plans. Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically, so to use a code on them, pay by card through Stripe.

On the pricing page. Prices can change over time, so the pricing page is always the up-to-date source.
